[edit] Web Siteswww.storyofstuff.com – The original 20-minute video, The Story of Stuff is amazing 20-minute animation of the consumerist society. Also available: The Story of Bottled Water, and The Story of Electronics. [edit] Must-see videosManufactured Landscapes (video is available from Blockbuster) follows internationally acclaimed Canadian photographer Edward Burtynsky on a journey throughout China . Through his large format photographs we see the almost unbelievable impact that China 's massive industrialization has had on the landscape of the country. This is not an easy film to watch. As Burtynsky's writes, "These images are meant as metaphors to the dilemma of our modern existence; they search for a dialogue between attraction and repulsion, seduction and fear. We are drawn by desire - a chance at good living, yet we are consciously or unconsciously aware that the world is suffering for our success. Our dependence on nature to provide the materials for our consumption and our concern for the health of our planet sets us into an uneasy contradiction. For me, these images function as reflecting pools of our times." Home Project www.home-2009.com – a breathtakingly beautiful film about our planet. Available free for viewing on You Tube, but worth the investment to see on the big screen.
