[edit] Milton Kinettes Cystic Fibrosis Fundraiser

The Milton Kinettes, along with the Milton Firefighters, were at the Home Depot recently fundraising to help in the fight against Cystic Fibrosis. Families came out to take part in the barbeque and learn about fire safety in the new mobile unit. Sparky was on hand and did a great job of bringing people into the parking lot to enjoy the festivities.

Holly Taylor was born with a rare birth defect and is missing a vital part of her brain. Her parents, Courtney & Ken are both in their early twenties and have had to fly to Calgary with Holly for treatment which is not available to them in Ontario. Each trip to Calgary will cost in excess of $3000.00. Currently they are unsure at what time treatment for Holly's condition will become available to them in Ontario. After hearing about this special family, The Kinette's of Milton stepped up to the plate and organized a Halloween themed dance at Thompson arena to raise funds for Holly's treatment. At this time we are unsure exactly how much money was raised on the night but we do know that there was a great turnout and everything ran without a single hitch. The Kinette's of Milton, Holly's Parents and family and everyone else who were involved would like to thank all those who donated and attended this event.
