[edit] Kinsmen Park

Sault Ste Marie is fortunate to have the natural splendor of Hiawatha Highlands Conservation Area. Within the Highlands is Kinsmen Park 97 hectares (240 acres) of land maintained by the Kinsmen Club. The park includes one of the most spectacular views of Crystal Falls from the Ecology Trail or Crystal Creek Trail. For visitor safety and to prevent further exposed tree root damage, a wheelchair accessible boardwalk was constructed beside the trail. Although each trail within the park highlights unique terrain the park also includes a baseball diamond, children’s playground, picnic area, and swimming area.

Copied from Water Falls of Ontario

This is pretty waterfall that is easy to visit, even for the non-adventurer. A sturdy boardwalk and wooden staircase have been constructed to, beside and above this waterfall. Unlike other sites, however, the boardwalk does not ruin the atmosphere. This falls is located just minutes from the city, and seconds from a major park, yet is remarkably rugged and peaceful. The falls is located in the Kinsmen Park, which borders the much larger Hiawatha Highlands Conservation Area, where a 35 km long network of trails could keep you busy hiking for hours.
