DATE:    December 3, 2011. The parade is always the first Saturday of December.
START TIME:   2:00pm
PARADE LINEUP ENTERENCE:   Main Street (east of 10th Line) and Mohawk Gate. Please see the map below.
PARADE START POINT:    10th Line and North Street. Please see the map below.
PARADE END POINT:   Main Street and Palmwood Gate. Please see the map below.

While everyone wants to have a fun and exciting time during the Santa Claus parade we must also remember that safety for everyone is the top priority. With that in mind we must remind ALL parade participants that they are FULLY responsible for the personal safety for their parade float/entry as well the general public.

The Stouffville Kinsmen Club does NOT accept or assume any liability. All parade participants and their associations are fully responsible for ANY LOSS, LIABILITY, DAMAGE, OR COST they may incur arising out of or related to the EVENT WHETHER CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF THEMSELVES OR OTHERWISE

Actions such as the throwing of candy is strictly prohibited.

Please have a fun and safe time in the parade. From the members of the Stouffville Kinsmen a Merry Christmas to you and your family.

[edit] Entry Requirements

Eligible Parade Entries: All businesses, organizations, service groups, churches and schools of York Region are welcome to participate in the parade. The cost for any non-business is FREE!! We do ask any business to please "donate" a minimum donation of $50 towards the parade.

Float Requirements: The Stouffville Kinsmen ask that ALL floats please make their entry Christmassy. We also ask that safety always be forefront in any float for both participants and the viewing public. Also NO Santa Beards or Santa suits allowed!! There is only one Santa and he is the last float of the parade.
Decorations may attempt to follow the parade theme but do not need to.

[edit] Parade Line Up

The Santa Clause parade uses the Camfella Estates to line-up the parade. While this allows room for all the floats and some support vehicles we ask that as much as possible floats arrange to meet at an alternate location to load up participants and then make their way to the parade line up position. The Stouffville Kinsmen ask that everyone please enter from Main Street on to Mohawk Gate (east of 10th Line). Please arrive before 1:30 to allow our judges to inspect your entry for a parade award.

When the parade starts, as the floats enter on to 10th Line IF they have won an award they will have a large sign affixed to the float to inform the public of their achievement. Good luck!
