My first time as Deputy Governor was 2010 – 2011 and I am staying on for the kin year 2011 – 2012. [edit] Zone NewslettersFrom the Desk of the Deputy Governor Hi everyone. First off would like to thank all the presidents who attend the council meeting. Well were heading into our 4th month, I hope everyone is getting back into the swing of things. ZONE'
5. The next Zone Council Meeting will be held at zone co-coordinator Charlottes home. Until next time please keep healthy and busy. Please feel free to contact me at any time with questions or comments. Last but not least please keep informed what it happening at both the district and zone level through the district website www.district8kin.ca kin Gary Gornik of Stouffville works very hard at keeping the website up to date. He would also appreciate any comments or photo’s you would like to submit of your club or a project you are involved in to put up on the website please send it to garygornik@rogers.com. Deputy Governor From the Zone Membership/Service Director First off I hope each club as a membership director. Also I would like to encourage each club to hold a membership drive. I would be more then willing to come out and speak to your club and help with any membership drives you are interested in holding. As of Oct 31st Zone Durham is constant at 88 members. I know that we are going to grow by one as the Ajax Club as a new member. At National it was reported that for the first time since the early 70’s we have achieved a positive membership growth of one member. It finally seems we are in a growth mode. It will take all of us to keep this going. I applaud all the clubs for making growth a priority.
Times they are a changing. This year will see the new CCFF logo launched. Kin is also starting a new project to celebrate our 50th anniversary of partnership with the CCFF.” One Dime at a Time I will be looking into supplying the container for each club. I can’t stress this enough the money collected in these containers for this special project DOES NOT COUNT TOWARDS YOUR ANNUAL CF DONATION. National has a new project coming our way “The Portraits of Honour” This is a very big undertaking and is one of the most important things to come out of National in years. Past National President Bruce Lloyd will be heading up this project. If you want any information on this please go to the kin Canada national website and click on the link to the Portraits of Honour and the video is well worth watching. Please feel free to contact me at anytime. Life Member Tony Foggetti – 905-985-0032

[edit] Stouffville Kinsmen Santa ParadeI want to take this opportunity to again thank you on behalf of Service Director Tony and myself for the invitation and participation in your Santa Claus. We had an absolute blast, would we do it again you bet ya. It was quite obvious how many years you have been doing this, Santa went up and down in less then an hour. And it was awesome to see how much fun your members had doing it. We had the honour of watching the parade surrounded by children it was great to see the joy and excitement in their faces. If there ever comes a time where you think is this worth it please stand in the crowd and watch the little ones and you will get your answer. Kin Gary thank you for your hospitality through the day. Kin Doug and Mary please accept our deepest thanks for your hospitality in your home that evening. Your club seems to make sure that there is always fellowship following these service projects. Your club practices the top 2 rules in this association I feel you have a very strong club with very strong goals and you are all members of this club and you are all there for the right reasons, to improve your community. Please keep up the good work, and the fellowship among your members. If you ever need our assistance again please do not hesitate to contact us. Deputy Governor Deb
